Do not flush items such as soiled diapers, towels, paper towels or cleaning cloths.

Do not dispose of chemicals in your sewer.

Cooking grease and oils should never be poured down the drain (instead pour into a soup can let it cool and dispose in trash).

If have a sewer odor in your home there is possibly a problem with your piping system (you should have it checked by a plumber).

Do not connect your gutters and downspouts or install outdoor drains connected to the sanitary sewer system.

Always know where your sanitary sewer clean-outs are and never cover them with anything, you never know when you’ll need them!
